Built in the winter of 2005 for Pitzer Pamona’s Ecological Education program in Dominical, Costa Rica, this building serves as a classroom and an observation area. Located on a Bamboo plantation the materials were harvested and treated on-site with an ecologically friendly sap replacement method. The building was designed by architect Darrel Deboer and built by a diverse crew of including Pitzer College students and Marisha Farnsworth and Kevin Rowell of The Natural Builders.
